The famed Barter Players, the State Theatre of the Commonwealth of Virginia, are coming to Louisa County on Feb. 15. The Players will present a performance of “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer,” an adaptation by Catherine Bush of Mark Twain’s classic.
The performance, sponsored by the Louisa County Rotary Club and underwritten by the Louisa County Rotary Club Foundation and other Louisa County businesses and individuals, will have a 7:30 p.m. curtain time in the Louisa Arts Center.
Earlier that day Louisa County elementary school students will enjoy a performance of “The Princess and the Pea,” and the middle school students will enjoy a performance of “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.”
Louisa County students will be offered the opportunity to experience live professional theatre. For many students, this will be the first time observing such a performance.
