chamber.logoThe Louisa County Chamber of Commerce is launching a new series of events to draw women who work in the business community.

The first Businesswomen’s Roundtable, on Feb. 2, will feature guest speaker Julie Moon, owner of Gold Mine Enterprises in Glen Allen. Moon teaches classes to small business owners on how to increase rapport with clients and staff.

The event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Best Western Plus Inn and Suites in Zion Crossroads and will include a luncheon. In addition to Moon’s presentation, there will be an opportunity for participants to meet each other.

“This is designed to add value for a segment of the chamber,” Regina Cook, chamber executive director, said. “One of the goals is to bring moms, which is why we’re putting it in that time frame.”

Cook said the group will meet quarterly, with future events possible in a variety of locations. Tickets are $15 for chamber members and $20 for non-members.
