Saturday, Aug. 12

St. Thomas Baptist Church will hold its Family and Friends Day celebration from 1 until 5 p.m. featuring a  variety of scheduled events. The church is located at 1567 Bumpass Rd., Rt. 601, Bumpass.

Sunday, Aug. 13

Wayland Baptist Church will  hold its annual Homecoming on Sunday, Aug. 13 at 3 p.m. Revival services will be held Monday, Aug. 14 through Wednesday, Aug. 16 with prayer and praise starting at 7:30 p.m. The church is located at 1228 Oakland Rd., Louisa.

Mt. Gilliam Baptist Church will celebrate Homecoming at 3:00 p.m., on Snday, Aug. 13, featuring a guest speaker. Lunch will follow the 11:00 a.m. worship service. Revival will be held Monday, Aug. 14 through Friday, Aug. 18, and will welcome guest speakers and choirs. Prayer and praise will begin at 7:00 p.m., followed by worship at 7:30 p.m. The church is located at 4641 Chalklevel Rd., Louisa.

South Anna Baptist Church will celebrate Homecoming during the 11 a.m. worship service and will feature a speaker from the Virginia Baptist Historical Society. Lunch will be served on the grounds following the service. The church is located at 9071 Cross County Rd., Mineral.

Foster Creek Baptist Church will celebrate Homecoming during the 11:30 a.m. service, followed by lunch. Revival will be held with the 3:00 p.m. service and continue Monday, Aug. 14 through Wednesday, Aug. 16 with prayer and praise at 7:30 p.m. and worship at 8:00 p.m. The church is located at 4028 E. Jack Jouett Rd., Louisa.

Mineral Baptist Church will observe its 114th annual Homecoming service on Sunday, Aug. 13 with one worship service beginning at 11 a.m., followed by a covered dish dinner in the Family Life Center. Sunday School will be held at the regular time of 9:45 a.m. but there will be no contemporary service that day. A pick up softball game will be held after dinner. Former members and friends of the congregation are invited to attend. Bring a glove and participate. Lawn chairs are also recommended for spectators of the competition. The church is located at 51 Louisa Ave. in the town of Mineral.

Mt. Hope Baptist Church will observe its annual Homecoming on Sunday, Aug. 13, at 11:00 a.m. Revival services, featuring a guest evangelist, will be held Monday, Aug. 14 through Wednesday, Aug. 17. Prayer and praise begins nightly at 7:00 p.m., followed by worship at 7:30 p.m.  The church is located at 5502 Paynes Mill Rd., Bumpass.

Rising Sun Baptist Church will host its annual Homecoming August 13 with prayer and praise at 2:30 p.m., followed by worship at 3:00 p.m. Revival will be held Monday, Aug. 14 through Friday, Aug. 18. Prayer and Praise begins at 7:00 p.m. with worship at 7:30 p.m. nightly. The church is located at 6829 Fredericks Hall Rd., Mineral.

Sunday, Aug. 20

Springfield Baptist Church will celebrate its church anniversary at 3 p.m. with a guest speaker and choir. The church is located at 1042 Zion Road, Gordonsville.

St. Mark Baptist Church will hold its annual Homecoming on Sunday, Aug. 20 with the 11:00 a.m. service being delivered by the interim pastor. The afternoon service at 3:00 p.m. will be delivered by a guest speaker.  Revival services, delivered by guest speakers, will be held Monday, Aug. 21 through Thursday, Aug. 24. Prayer and praise will begin at 7:30 p.m., followed by worship at 8:00 p.m. The church is located at 4596 Factory Mill Rd., Maidens.

First Baptist Church will celebrate its annual homecoming at 11:00 a.m., followed by lunch by 1:30 p.m. The afternoon service will begin with prayer and praise at 2:30 p.m. and worship at 3:00 p.m. Revival services will be held Monday, Aug. 21 through Wednesday, Aug. 23 with prayer and praise at 7:30 p.m., followed by worship at 8:00 p.m. Various musical guests will perform nightly. The church is located at 102 Meadow Ave., Louisa.

Ebenezer Baptist Church will observe Homecoming Aug. 20 at 11:00 a.m., followed by lunch. Revival will begin Sunday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. and will continue Monday, Aug. 21 through Wednesday, Aug. 23 at 7:30 p.m. nightly. The church is located at 864 Pendleton Rd., Mineral.
