Sunday, July 14

The G.M. Thompson Memorial Chorus of Shady Grove Baptist Church will celebrate its 33rd anniversary at 4 p.m. The Jones Family of Fluvanna and The Promise Keepers of Richmond will be the special guests.  The church is located at 3384 Oakland Church Rd., Gum Spring.


Bishop Dayton Birt will minist at Cornerstone Pentecostal Church at 11 a.m.  Birt is the overseer of Redemption Ministries, a fellowship of Pentecostal churches in Virginia.  A fellowship lunch will follow the service.  The church is located at 1457 James Madison Hwy., Gordonsville. The Anointed Voices of Union Baptist Church will hold a concert at 3 p.m. The church is located at 1546 Vawter Corner Rd., Louisa.


St. John Baptist Church will hold its Choir Day at 3 p.m. Local choirs will attend along with a special presentation by “Praize Poetry” from Fredericksburg.  Lunch will be served prior to the service.  The church is located at 5482 Zachary Taylor Hwy., Mineral.


Zion Travelers Baptist Church’s Voices of Praise will hold a dedication service, for the construction of a new church at 3 p.m. The Rev. Alvin T. Armstead Jr., of First Union Baptist Church, Richmond, will deliver the message. He will be accompanied by his choir, ushers and congregation. Lunch will be served from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m. The church is located at 3662 Roundabout Rd, Louisa.


Monday, July 15

The Rev. Michael Crawley, pastor, Foster Creek Baptist Church, Louisa, will be the revival speaker at Byrd Grove Baptist Church. Services will be held Monday, July 15 through Thursday, July 18 at 8 p.m. nightly.  Guest choirs will render the music each night. The church is located at 2365 Cedar Lane Rd., Kents Store.


Saturday, July 20

Zion Travelers Baptist Church will hold a deacon ordination service for deacon-elect Bobby Seaberry, trustee, at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be Elder James Walker.  The church is located at 3662 Roundabout Rd., Louisa.


Evergreen Bible Way and Gordonsville Bible Way churches will present the 2013 Women and Men’s Conference at 1576 Evergreen Rd., Louisa. Registration is $25 per person and includes breakfast, lunch, gift bag and access to all seminars. The keynote speaker will be Pastor Angelica Conway Wellington, of Descending Dove Christian Center, Wilmington, North Carolina. Special guest soloists have also been scheduled.
