Saturday, July 20

Zion Travelers Baptist Church will hold a deacon ordination service for deacon-elect Bobby Seaberry, trustee, at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be Elder James Walker.  The church is located at 3662 Roundabout Rd., Louisa.


Evergreen Bible Way and Gordonsville Bible Way churches will present the 2013 Women and Men’s Conference at 1576 Evergreen Rd., Louisa. Registration is $25 per person and includes breakfast, lunch, gift bag and access to all seminars. The keynote speaker will be Pastor Angelica Conway Wellington, of Descending Dove Christian Center, Wilmington, North Carolina. Special guest soloists have also been scheduled. Ebenezer Baptist Church Ushers’ Ministry will celebrate its 84th anniversary with guest speaker the Rev. Harrison Williams.  He will be accompanied by his church family. The church is located at 109 Ebenezer Rd., Mineral.


Canaan Soul Saving Station Church will begin revival services during its 11:30 a.m. worship service with the Rev. Joseph Nowell. Nightly services will be held Monday, July 22 through Friday, July 26 at 8 p.m.  Bishop William Nowell, of Charlottesville, will be the guest speaker. Saturday, July 27

First Baptist Church’s Pulpit Aid Committee will present a one woman show, “The Evolution of a Black Girl” featuring the Rev. Morgan McCoy who will portray 12 African American woman from Africa to the White House. The performance will begin at 4 p.m. and is free. A love offering will be accepted.
