Saturday, June 13

Temple of Deliverance, HCG will hold a pastoral weekend celebration in honor of Elder Lynn W. Beanum. Saturday’s activities will include a dinner at 3:00 p.m., followed by worship at 4:30 p.m. Sunday’s activities will include 11:15 a.m. worship with a guest speaker. Zion Travelers Baptist Church will hold its annual Back To School program at 3 p.m. with a guest speaker, youth choirs and praise dancers. The church is located at 3662 Roundabout Road, Louisa.

Elk Creek Baptist Church will host a cookout at 4:00 p.m., followed by a lakeside concert at 5:30 p.m. featuring an award-winning southern gospel quartet. Bring a lawn chair. Sunday, June 14

Laurel Hill Baptist Church will hold its annual June Rally at 3 p.m. with a guest speaker and musical presentation. Dinner will be served following the morning service. Mt. Hope Baptist Church’s Missionary Ministry will celebrate its annual day at 2:30 p.m.  This year’s theme is “Women in White.”  All women and young ladies are asked to wear white.  The church is located at 5502 Paynes Mill Road, Bumpass.

Louisa County Sunday School Union will hold a Vacation Bible School at First Baptist Church on Monday, June 15 through Friday, June 19 from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. This year’s theme is Jesus, The True Superhero based on Ephesians 6:11. Servants of Christ Baptist Church will hold its Vacation Bible School Monday, June 22, through Friday, June 26 from 5:30 until 8:00 p.m. Participants will Go to the Edge and Encounter God of the Universe. Classes are scheduled for four-year-olds through teens and will include snacks, games and a Friday night surprise.
