Saturday, Nov. 3

Unlimited Women of God of Living Water Fellowship Church will hold its 2012 women’s conference Because of The Anointing from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.  The guest speaker will be Prophetess Henrietta Ford of Upper Marlboro, Maryland.  The registration fee is $25 and will include lunch, live worship and more.  The church is located at 115 Jefferson Hwy, Louisa. Standing On The Promise Church will hold a musical celebration at 4 p.m. featuring the reunion of Tony and Rick, Chosen,The Brooks Family, St. Thomas Male Chorus and others. Special guest will be the 2012 Black Essence Inc. Award recipient The Sons of Praise of Richmond.  The church is located at 1240 Waldrop Church Road Louisa


Sunday, Nov. 4

Ecumenical prayer/meditation/sharing group will be held weekly on Sunday afternoons for one hour. Anonymous attendance, speak only for and about yourself, acceptance of all religions and faiths. Support each other for spiritual growth. Contact David Schwartz for details at (540) 967-0708.


The Ebenezer Baptist Church combined choir will hold a musical program at 3 p.m. featuring the St. Thomas male chorus, Chosen, Tony Shelton and The Faith Redeemers.  The church is located at 109 Ebenezer Rd,. Mineral.


St. John Baptist Church will hold its annual Family and Friends Day starting with morning services at 11:30 a.m. followed by lunch.  Afternoon services will begin at 3:00 p.m. with guests Elder Jason Lewis and the Temple of Deliverance Young Adult Choir.  The church is located at 5482 Zachary Taylor Hwy., Mineral.


Monday, Nov. 5

Election Eve Prayer Service sponsored by the Louisa National Day of Prayer Task Force will be held on the Louisa Courthouse lawn at 7:30 p.m.  All are invited to come pray for the election and our nation in this non-partisan, non-political service.  Dress for the weather and bring lawn chairs.  (In case of rain, the service will be held at Solid Grounds Coffee House.)  For more information, call (540) 967-3552 or (804) 212-7837.


Saturday, Nov. 10

Thessalonia Baptist Church will install the Rev. Henry K. Truzy Jr. as pastor the weekend of Nov. 10 and 11.  A pre-installation celebration will be held Saturday, Nov. 10 at 4 p.m. featuring a celebration of gospel music. including Workshop Choir of Rising Sun Baptist Church, the Celebration Choir of Mount Hope Baptist Church, Pastor Robert Strothers and Thessalonia Baptist Church Choir of Fork Union, Brother Josh King, Rose Hill Baptist Church and Brother Kenny Patton of Winston Salem, North Carolina.  The installation celebration will be held Sunday, Nov. 11.  Morning worship will begin at 11:30 a.m.   with Pastor-Elect Henry Truzy bringing the message. Thessalonia Baptist Church Choir will be render the music. Lunch will be served following the morning worship service.  The installation service will begin at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. James Graves, associate minister of Zion Travelers Baptist Church, delivering the message. Music will be rendered by Zion Travelers Baptist Church Choir. The church is located at 278 Old County Rd., Mineral.


Sunday, Nov. 11

Laurel Hill Baptist Church will celebrate its annual Ushers’ Day at 3 p.m. The Rev. Arthur D. Lee, Rising Sun Baptist Church, Mineral, will deliver the message. The Rising Sun choir and ushers will accompany him. The church is located at 7652 Kentucky Springs Road, Mineral.  Contact Sis. Gertrude for additional information.


St. Thomas Baptist Church will celebrate Veteran’s Day at 11 a.m. with veterans in charge of the worship service. A fellowship luncheon will follow the service.  The church is located at 1567 Bumpass Rd., Bumpass.
