Saturday, Dec. 1

Laurel Hill Baptist Church will celebrate the May and June birthdays of its members at 3 p.m.  The celebration will illustrate the importance of getting right with God with a performance entitled “Get on Board.” For more information, contact  Sis. Sunday, Dec. 2

Mt. Gilliam Baptist Church will celebrate the installation of Pastor-Elect Donald King.  The morning worship will begin at 11 a.m. with Minister Wanda Pearson, associate minister of First Baptist Church, Glenarden, Maryland, followed by lunch.  The afternoon service will begin at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Darryl Thompson, pastor of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Glen Allen, who will deliver the word.  He will be accompanied by his choir, ushers and church family.  Pastor Sharon Roberts will officiate. The church is located at 4641 Chalklevel Rd., Louisa.


Louisa Baptist Church will host the Louisa County High School choir directed by Jelita Hopkins during its 11 a.m. worship service.  The choir will delight the audience with Christmas cheer through a couple of songs.  Childcare and children’s worship is available during this time.  Come early and join in Bible study at 9:45 a.m.  The church is located at 305 E. Main Street, Louisa.


Sunday, Dec. 9

Canaan Soul Saving Station Church will hold a Christmas program at 3 p.m. Evangelist Effie Nowell of Charlottesville will be the guest speaker.  The church is located at 6580 Venable Rd., Kents Store.


Memorial Baptist Church’s Jubilee Choir will hold its Christmas Cantata entitled “Wonder of  Worship” during the morning worship service. Following the service, the annual holiday dinner which will be served in the fellowship hall. The church is located at 98 Courthouse Square, Louisa.
