Piedmont CASA will hold volunteer information sessions at Louisa County Library, 881 Davis Hwy., Mineral, from 12 until 1 p.m. and 6 until 7 p.m.  Anyone who has thought about becoming a court appointed special advocate in Louisa will find out how to advocate for the best interest of abused and neglected children in foster care.  No special experience is required, but volunteers must be at least 21 years old.  Volunteers are selected on the basis of their objectivity, competence and commitment. Clint Arrington Memorial Horses For Heroes Ride

The Steel Warriors Motorcycle Club will host the fourth annual Clint Arrington Memorial Horses For Heroes Ride to benefit Lonesome Dove Equestrian Center in Powhatan. The ride will leave from West Creek Athletic Sport Complex, 12575 West Creek Parkway, Henrico. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and kickstands go up at 11 a.m. Participation fees are $25 for riders, $15 for passengers.
