Louisa Alzheimer’s Support Group

The Louisa Alzheimer’s Support Group is available for caregivers, family and friends of someone afflicted with Alzheimer’s or any of the many other dementias. Share experiences and gain insightful information to help traverse the disease. Meetings are held the second Monday of the month from 1:00 until 2:30 p.m. at Betty Queen Center, 522 Industrial Drive, Louisa. Enjoy short books, rhymes, finger plays, a flannel story, and songs using shakers and rhythm instruments each Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Designed for ages 2 through 5 with an accompanying adult or caregiver. 77th annual Belmont Horse Show

The Belmont Club of Women and the Belmont Ruritan Club will hold its 77th annual Belmont Horse Show beginning at 9 a.m. Prizes will be awarded in numerous categories and information on specific entry rules is available by emailing the show coordinator at BelmontHorseShow@gmail.com or calling (540) 894-4787 or (540) 854-5355. The horse show grounds are located at 17301 Monrovia Road, Orange. The show is a major fundraiser for the Belmont Club of Women, which uses the proceeds to benefit youth and student activities as well as supporting local fire departments and rescue squad organizations.
