Quit Smoking Louisa

Quit Smoking Louisa is a free support group where people can learn and experience different strategies for quitting smoking. Classes are free and will be held on Thursdays from 5 until 6 p.m. at the Betty J. Queen Center, 522 Industrial Drive, Louisa, though May 26.

Venturing Crew

Tuesday Evening Book Discussion Group will meet at Louisa County Library, 881 Davis Highway, Mineral at 7 pm. to discuss “Rosemary: The Hidden Kennedy Daughter” by Kate Clifford Larson. Based on entries in Rose Kennedy’s diaries and family interviews, the correspondence describe the plight of a woman who was intellectually disabled and kept hidden by her family after she received a lobotomy at age of 23.
