Construct a nature trail

Volunteers are need to construct a nature trail at Buckner-Bumpass Park from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. Work to be performed will include clearing a new trail, raking, cutting small trees and possible bridge building. Call or text Andrew Morris at (540) 223-3586, or email morrisac@fuma.org.

Tuesday Evening Book Discussion Group

The Tuesday Evening Book Discussion Group will meet at 7 p.m. to discuss “Deep Down Dark” by Hector Tobar at the Louisa County Library, 881 Davis Highway, Mineral. The Pulitzer Prize-winning author presents a firsthand, official account of the 2010 survival story involving 33 miners who were trapped for a record 69 days in a Chilean mine.

Preschool Read & Rhyme Time

Preschool Read & Rhyme Time is a fun program highlighting early literacy skills. Enjoy short books, rhymes, finger plays, a flannel story, and song and movement, using shakers, scarves, and rhythm instruments each Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Designed for ages 2 through 5 with an accompanying adult or caregiver. Quit Smoking Louisa
