A debut memoir by an award-winning paleobiologist traces her childhood in her father’s laboratory, her longtime relationship with a brilliant, but wounded, colleague and the remarkable discoveries they have made both in the lab and during extensive field research assignments.

Help Stuff the Bus for Louisa County Public Schools on Friday, Aug. 4 and  Saturday, Aug. 5 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Zion Crossroads Walmart. Take advantage of the state’s tax-free weekend to buy supplies that will be distributed by each school to students. All supplies are welcome, especially age-appropriate backpacks for secondary school students.
