Fall Festival

St. James Episcopal Church, 102 Ellisville Drive, Louisa, will hold its annual fall festival from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. Activities will include crafters, baked goods, yard sale, raffle, KIDZONE, breakfast and lunch. Gordonsville VFD Auxiliary Fall Festival

The Gordonsville Volunteer Fire Company’s Auxiliary will sponsor the fall festival on the firemen’s fairgrounds between Baker and King streets in Gordonsville from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Entertainment is scheduled all day and parking will be available at the fire house. Que and Cruz

Small Country will host its annual Que and Cruz from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. The event features a Virginia State BBQ championship, antique and classic car show, live music all day,  classic fire engine competition, food groups and vendors. Enjoy short books, rhymes, finger plays, a flannel story, and song and movement, using shakers, scarves, and rhythm instruments each Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Designed for ages 2 through 5 with an accompanying adult or caregiver. Louisa Chapter of AARP

The Louisa Chapter of AARP meets the second Wednesday of the month in the second floor conference room of the Louisa County Office Building. All residents age 50 and older are welcome. Meetings run from September through May at 2 p.m. Following a program, r efreshments are served by member volunteers. AARP meetings and trips are a great way for seniors to meet and socialize with others.

Golden Age Club

The Golden Age Club will meet at the Betty Queen Center at 10 a.m. for a presentation by Louisa County Fire and Rescue. Members will meet for lunch at 11:30 a.m. at Pizza Hut, 100 Jefferson Highway, Louisa (Rt. 33).
