Preschool Read & Rhyme Time

Preschool Read & Rhyme Time is a fun program highlighting early literacy skills. Enjoy short books, rhymes, finger plays, a flannel story, and song and movement, using shakers, scarves, and rhythm instruments each Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Designed for ages 2 through 5 with an accompanying adult or caregiver. Siblings welcome. The Louisa County Library is located at 881 Davis Highway, Mineral.

National Day of Prayer Community Prayer Service

The 65th annual National Day of Prayer Community Prayer Service will be held at 12 p.m. on the Louisa courthouse lawn, led by community leaders, pastors and local citizens. In case of inclement weather, the service will be held at Louisa United Methodist Church.

Quit Smoking Louisa
May 5 @ 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Quit Smoking Louisa is a free support group where people can learn and experience different strategies for quitting smoking. Classes are free and will be held on Thursdays from 5 until 6 p.m. at the Betty J. Queen Center, 522 Industrial Drive, Louisa, though May 26.

A Mother’s Day bake sale will be held from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. at St. James Episcopal Church, 102 Ellisville Drive, Louisa. Come early for the best selection of homemade breads, rolls, cookies, cakes, pies and more.

Journey Home meeting
