Does Spring Break mean no school zones?

Posted on Monday, April 1, 2013 at 3:55 pm

Spring Break is here and that has several residents wondering if they still need to slow down in the school zones.

Major Donald Lowe said that cars should follow the speed limits set in the school zones — according to the law. He explained, though, the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office does not enforce the school zone speeds when school is out.

Lowe also said the LCSO would like to keep the lights working during spring break to keep everyone in the habit.

As always, be safe. School is back in session next Monday. Have  a good holiday.
