“We know all about cars and guitars,” Greg Cooney said.
The owners of Cars, Guitars and More, Margie and Greg Cooney have been in the car business for more than 20 years. Margie Cooney started a car business in Warrenton in 1989 selling and servicing vehicles and opened Cars, Guitars and More in November 2012. Greg Cooney has been playing, collecting and repairing guitars for more than 30 years. They decided to combine their experiences to start a business in Louisa where they are from and live.
“We combined my love of guitars and her experience of automobiles and made it a family affair,” Cooney said of working with his wife Margie.
Ricky Johnson, manager and family member, says he loves his job and it’s great to be in business together. Johnson has been a mechanic for more than 15 years and brings his experience to the business.
“We don’t just stick a car out there that isn’t approved by us,” Johnson said. “We don’t just go purchase a car, wash it and stick it out there. We take pride in servicing our customers with excellent quality and service.”
Cars, Guitars and More offers vehicles that are bumper-to-bumper inspected and are well-maintained. The automobiles all have background checks and are reasonably priced.
Along with purchasing cars, the business offers a wide range of guitars and amplifiers. Cooney sells affordable new, used and vintage guitars. There are also strings and a selection of accessories that can be purchased. Gibson, Fender, Taylor and Martin are some brands that are available for the guitar lover or for the novice. Repair services are also available.
