Drug bust in Bumpass

Millard Kinard Chisholm, 65, of Bumpass was arrested Thursday, Aug. 1 at approximately 9 p.m. as the Louisa County Narcotics Task Force, assisted by the Virginia State Police Tactical Units, executed a search warrant at his Copper Line Road home.

Law enforcement seized approximately two pounds of marijuana and 2.5 ounces of powdered cocaine with a combined street value of about $10,000.

Scales, packaging material, four long guns, one hand gun and $2,912 dollars in cash were also confiscated during the search.

Chisholm was held at Central Virginia Regional Jail in Orange until he posted his $7,500 secure bond on Saturday, Aug. 3.

He is scheduled to appear in Louisa County General District Court on Sept. 12 for felony charges of possession with intent to distribute cocaine and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

Chisholm also faces charges for unlawfully possessing a controlled substance classified as a Schedule I or II drug of the Drug Control Act, simultaneously with knowledge and intent to possess a firearm.
