The presumed ringleader of a group of drug dealers caught in an April 2018 bust on Wickham Road was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
Early in the case, investigators accused Robert Murray, 38, of Doswell, of importing drugs from Georgia, including crystal meth, Oxycodone, Xanax and marijuana worth about $100,000. He pleaded guilty to manufacturing a controlled substance and was sentenced in Louisa Circuit Court on May 21 to 30 years, with half that time suspended.
At the time of the bust, Louisa County Sheriff Ashland Fortune called it “one of the top three largest drug arrests in the history of the county.”
Three others were arrested with Murray, including Joshua Hicks, 19, Joanna McDonald, 38, and Jeremiah Williams, 25, all of Louisa.
