The Louisa County High School girls’ basketball team is still trying to find its footing, adding a pair of road losses to its early season record.

The Lions traveled to Eastern View High School on Dec. 1 for their first away game of the 2017-18 season. The Cyclones proved too much for the young Louisa team and, following a second half surge, took the game 67-45.

“We played a very good first half, both offensively and defensively,” Lions’ head coach Nick Schreck said. “In the second half, Eastern View was able to speed us up, turn us over, and we took way too many quick shots.

“We are still a young team and show bouts of how good we can be,” he continued. “We just need to be consistent with effort, energy, and rebounding.  If we do those things, we will put ourselves in a good position most games.”
