Investigators discover meth lab on outskirts of Mineral

Kari and Robert Miracle mugshotsThe Louisa Narcotics Task Force tore down a methamphetamine lab in the 2100 block of Zachary Taylor Highway Friday, Aug. 14 after a four-month-long investigation.

According to Sgt. Dustin Lowe, the lab was well maintained and organized.

“The guy knew what he was doing,” Lowe said.

The Louisa County Sheriff’s Office arrested Robert and Kari Miracle on Aug. 16.

Robert was arrested on charges of manufacturing methamphetamines, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm while in possession of drugs.

His wife was arrested on charges of manufacturing, selling and possession of controlled substances and possession of a firearm while in possession of drugs.

Task force members were on scene at 9 p.m. Thursday , Aug. 13 and Virginia State Police clean up crews started dismantling the lab around 8 a.m. Friday Aug. 14.
