The Louisa County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a Keswick man after he crashed his car near Penta Road in Gordonsville Sunday night.
A neighbor in the area who heard the crash at about 10:35 p.m. told authorities that a bleeding man was seen emerging from the vehicle after it crashed into the woods.
LCSO Major Donald Lowe said the man, identified as Travis Walker, and believed to be in his mid-thirties, may have spoken briefly with first responders, but left the scene before law enforcement arrived.
During the investigation, the sheriff’s office learned that Walker’s eight-year-old son was supposed to have been with him.
Concerned for the child’s well-being, investigators began to search for the boy. Lowe said there was no evidence indicating that the child was with him at the time of the crash.
This afternoon, Lowe said that the child was found safely in the care of his mother.
