Lake Anna Advisory Committee Chairman Chris McCotter (left) presents former member and chairman Ann Heidig with a resolution of respect from the organization.

Former Spotsylvania County Supervisor Ann Heidig was presented a resolution of respect from the Lake Anna Advisory Committee during the organization’s meeting May 22 in Spotsylvania County.

Heidig served on the LAAC board from 2012 until 2017, serving as the chairman from 2015-2017. She was not only one of the Spotsylvania County Board of Supervisors representatives, but also filled the role of citizen member while leading the county government board.

“I have learned much from Mrs. Heidig about how to run a meeting and communicate with people,” Chris McCotter, LAAC chairman, said. “I am in awe of her abilities and in her service not only to LAAC, but to the Lake Anna community in general.”

In addition to serving as its chairman, Heidig was also a part of the organization’s hydrilla and wake surfing subcommittees, both which tackled sensitive issues impacting the lake community.
