And the winner is…..
That’s what Emily Hall heard before they called her name to announce that she had won the title of the Miss Piedmont Region 2013.
The Miss Piedmont Region is a pageant that consists of talent, an on-stage interview, swim suit and evening gown competition. Along with the title of Miss Piedmont Region 2013, Emily Hall won $4500 in scholarships and prizes.
This event was held in Glen Allen in late January and is a preliminary pageant that leads to the Miss Virginia Pageant that will be aired on ABC in June. And from there the winner will head to Miss America.
Hall’s platform during her competition is “Living in the Lifestyle,” which is educating the importance of health and fitness for the whole family. She travels and speaks to schools about the issues of health and fitness.
There were 12 contestants at the pageant and Emily delivered all the qualities the judges were looking for.
“I felt very confident. My interview, I felt, was top-notch and all the areas of the competition that I competed in, I felt I was well prepared,” Hall said. “I possessed all the qualities that the judges have asked for.”
