Louisa Lions tackle fundraising ventures

The Louisa County high school football team has a number of fundraising activities scheduled this spring.

On May 4, the team will sponsor a community yard-sale in the parking lot in front of the football stadium at the high school from 7 a.m. until  2p.m.  The cost is $15 to rent one parking space and $25 for two spaces. They will also have a concession stand open and operating a car wash.

The annual Football Golf Tournament at Tanyard Country Club will be held on May 25..  The format is four-man Captain’s Choice and the cost is $260 per team.  The first 20 teams to sign up will have the 8:30 a.m. tee time and the remaining teams will have a 2:00 p.m. tee time.  The football team will provide lunch, door prizes and competition prizes.

The Louisa County High School football team’s annual Future Lions Kids Camp will be held on June 10 through June 12 at the field behind Louisa County Middle School.  The cost is $50 per camper if they preregister through Louisa County Parks and Recreation (any time before June 10.  If participants do not preregister they can still participate, but the cost is $60.

Camp is open to all children grades kindergarten through eighth.  Chris Cheshire is the contact person at parks and rec. Also, any person or business can support the Louisa Lions by sponsoring a hole at this year’s tournament for $50.
