The Lions faced athletes from 37 different schools from all over the state, including Conference 19 rivals Eastern View, Chancellor and Caroline high schools, and brought home a number of top 10 individual finishes.
Louisa’s girls’ team placed ninth with a total of 25 points. Taylor Robinson led the Lions with a second-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.48 seconds. She finished just three one-hundreths of a second behind Davina Lane of Sherando High School.
Robinson also ran the anchor leg on the fourth-placing 4×100 relay team. She was joined by teammates Kiana Richardson, Amari Quarles and Sariyah Kelley for a time of 49.09 seconds.
Richardson also earned a top five individual finish for the Lions, placing fifth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.65 seconds.
