The Louisa Community Chorus members are in their final weeks of rehearsal for their 2015 Concert, “Color My Spirit.” The concerts will be presented at Louisa United Methodist Church on Friday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 22 at 4 p.m. There will be songs containing colors in their names and some spirituals.
Some of the “colorful” songs are “Blue Moon,” “Yellow Submarine,” “The Rose” and Kermit the Frog’s “Bein’ Green.” The spirituals include “Didn’t My Lord Deliver Daniel” and “There’s Room For Many A’More.”
As always, the concerts are free with a love offering accepted. The chorus always passes on to the community the monies received at their concerts. This year’s donation will be made to Louisa County Emergency Fund – Touching Lives in Crisis. This fund was established to help people in crisis pay basic living expenses such as rent, mortgage and utilities when their flow of funds is interrupted due to illness, job loss, fire or any other crisis.
