The Steel Warriors Veterans Motorcycle Club is proud to present its 3rd annual Memorial Day Ride and Veterans Lunch on Monday, May 28, 2018. The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. at Louisa Courthouse Square where VFW Post 8947 will conduct a Memorial Day Service.
Following the ceremony and laying of a wreath, attendees can view a rolling parade of motorcycles and classic cars as they travel to Mineral for a second wreath laying ceremony. Due to parking limitations, only motorcycles and classic cars registered for the ride will be able to attend that event.
Afterward, a 1 p.m. lunch will be provided for attendees by Duane Adams, Mineral district representative on the Louisa County Board of Supervisors. Lunch donations will be accepted for Folds of Honor, a nonprofit that provides educational scholarships to the children and spouses of fallen and disabled service members while serving our nation.
Ride registration will take place at the Louisa United Methodist Church parking lot from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m the day of the ride. The cost of registration is $10 per vehicle.
All proceeds will go to Folds of Honor. All classic cars and motorcycles are welcome. The event is rain or shine. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and will be able to participate in a 50/50 raffle with all proceeds going to the Folds of Honor.
