Can’t afford to go to Mexico? For an authentic taste of the country that will tantalize your taste buds, look no further than Sabor A Mexico located in Mineral Town Square.
As you walk into the restaurant, your nose picks up the savory smells emanating from the kitchen and your mouth begins to salivate as your stomach growls with anticipation of the variety of dishes to choose from.
Sabor is owned and operated by Jesus Lopez Sr., his wife Olga and their children Jesus Jr., Estevan and Diana.
The family opened the restaurant on Saturday, March 15 and is serving family recipes for burritos, tacos, tamales, enchiladas and quesadillas. They also offer dinner and lunch combination meals of chicken, steak, seafood and vegetarian. The family even makes its own salsa, offers take-out and a kids menu.
According to Olga, it has been a lifetime dream of the family to own its own restaurant. She said her husband noticed the space was available and thought it would be the perfect location for the family to establish the business.
“[We] always wanted to do something like this,” Diana said.
