Stepping into The Right Spot consignment shop is almost like taking a step back in time. Each room is filled with interesting trinkets and pieces of furniture, and the setup gives shoppers the feel they are in someone’s home.
That’s the look that owner Tony Williams and manager Sandy Puckett said they are trying to achieve at their new town of Mineral store.
“We’ve always said it’s really taking things and staging them in a way that you could have an idea of how to put it in your own house,” Williams said.
Williams admits that he’s always had a love for fashion and antiques.
“I love to go junking like everybody does,” Williams said. “I love finding gems in places, and unique things, and wanted to create that kind of thing here.”
The business owner said he decided to open the store in Mineral because the area is growing, especially with the development at Lake Anna.
“[Mineral] is a hidden gem for people that are wanting to start a new business … It’s business friendly,” Williams said.
Williams hopes that he will be able to build a sustainable business, and believes that his location on Mineral Avenue will draw many inside to see what is available.
“I think it has potential,” Puckett said. “It’s growing, and if someone wants to shop and knows it’s here and different, they don’t mind driving.”
