Mineral’s Brian Smith raced his ‘78 Z28 to victory in the 2012 Street Stock Division Championship at the Southside Speedway in Midlothian.
When Smith was younger, he told his parents he was going to grow up and be a racecar driver. At 31, he has accomplished a childhood dream.
Smith has been racing for the past seven years and began his career when Louisa’s Mike Ganoe got him started in racing. His father-in-law, Ricky Stoller, is the one who bought Smith his first racecar, a 1975 Monte Carlo.
