The Bullock family has moved into their Habitat home in time for Christmas.
Rebecca Bullock and her daughters moved into their Louisa County Habitat renovated home on Dec. 20. They had been sharing a home with her mother, Jolyn Bullock, a long time employee at the Jeffeson Madison Public Library’s Louisa branch.
“I’m so excited,” Bullock said. “It hasn’t sunk in yet that it’s my home. I’ve always rented.”
Bullock is employed at the Health and Wellness Center located in the Sage Building. She and her girls have been doing “sweat equity” on the home, saved a down payment and must meet a monthly mortgage.
Her oldest daughter, Monique, 16, is a junior at Louisa High School and is a new driver.
Sharcari, 10, is a fifth grader at Trevilians Elementary School and participates in the talented and gifted program. She is also a member of Odyssey of the Mind and hopes to become a pediatrician.
