New vanpool offers residents options, convenience

Posted on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 9:37 am

RideShare is pleased to announce that a new vanpool is now available for commuters that live in Louisa County and work in Charlottesville.

Commuters that vanpool save hundreds of dollars a year in travel expenses, including gas, oil changes, tires, repairs, and parking fees. In addition, they have an opportunity to read, study, work, or relax instead of driving.

All vanpool participants are eligible for RideShare’s Guaranteed Ride Home Program, which provides a free ride home in the event of an emergency. This service is free of charge and available five times per year.

Interested commuters should contact RideShare at 434-295-6165 or to learn how to join the vanpool. For more information on RideShare, visit
