On January 28, more than 60 Louisa County residents, volunteers and officials gathered at the Louisa Volunteer Fire Department to check the status of emergency services in the county.
Earlier this month, representatives from the Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services and Department of Fire Programs began an intensive study of the emergency services system, including the career staff and six volunteer agencies.
