The football season has come to a quick end for the Louisa Lions.

In a strange Friday the 13th first-round playoff game, the Lions lost 14-6, to the  Liberty Eagles in Bealeton, to close out the 2009 season at 7-4.

Two of the game's three touchdowns came by defense and special teams.

Louisa's offense failed to score but the defense was tough against the home team.
The first quarter ended at 0-0. Louisa repeatedly stopped the Eagles, forcing three consectutive three-and-out possessions by the home team. So tough were the Louisa defenders, that Liberty did not record a first down until only 1:27 remained...
