Robert M. Daymude
Robert Mason Daymude, 72, of Louisa County, passed away Monday, March 11, 2013 at Martha Jefferson Hospital, Charlottesville.
Mr. Daymude was a salesman for 33 years for Coca-Cola, Alexandria Bottling Plant. He attended Mineral Baptist Church and has been a Louisa resident since 2000.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Janet Ann Daymude of Louisa; his son, Charles Daymude and his wife, Susan, of Lake Norman, North Carolina; his stepsons, Raymond and Ronnie Proffitt; his daughter Lauri Chastain and her husband, George Chastain IV, of Fairfax County; his stepdaughters, Brenda Galloway and Beth Proffitt; his grandchildren, Melanie and Chelsea Payson; and his step-grandchildren, Danielle, Dustin Justin and Jimmy.
Services will be private.

Linda C. Hite
Linda Carolyn Hite, 65, of Louisa, died Friday, March 8, 2013, at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville.
Born December 20, 1947 in Charlottesville, she was a daughter of Frances Goodson Jones of Troy and the late William Joseph Jones. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Sue Hite.
Mrs. Hite was a member of Jehovah Witnesses, Palmyra Congregation.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Wilson Leroy Hite of Louisa; one daughter, Tammy Blankenship and her husband, Michael, of Rock Hill, South Carolina; one son, Gary Lee Hite and his wife, Mary Jane, of Louisa; one sister, Betty Jo Garrison of Charlottesville; two grandchildren, Amanda Jane Birkelund and her husband, Donny, of Louisa, Brad Edward Blankenship of Rock Hill, South Carolina; and one great-grandson, Conner Andrew Birkelund of Louisa.
Funeral services, conducted by Andrew L. Hogg Jr., were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 11 at the Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Gordonsville. Interment was in Holly Memorial Gardens in Charlottesville.

Frank Kirby, 71, of Gordonsville went to be with the Lord while surrounded by family on Friday, March 8, 2013 at the home of his sister and caregiver, Helen K. Proffit, of Gordonsville.
Frank was born on October 5, 1941 in Cismont to the late Joseph Gaines Kirby and Mazie Critzer Kirby. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Hunter Kirby and Donald Kirby; and three sisters, Sophie K. Caputo, Willie Edith Matheson and Phyllis K. Lawson.
Mr. Kirby is also survived by his son, Paul Kirby Jr. and his wife, Amy, of Gordonsville; one daughter, Meghan Kirby of Albemarle County; five grandchildren, Cayla Morris and her husband, Kevin, Trevor Kirby, Savanna Kirby, Ciara Shaw, Mason Warner and a special friend, Donna Lohr, of Colorado.
He was a longtime member of the Cobham Hunt Club and the original owner of Kirby Pools. Frank was also a member of the Mountain View United Methodist Church in Quinque and a member of the Surfside Beach Moose Lodge #2351.
A memorial service, conducted by the Rev. Buster Payne, will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 14 at the Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Gordonsville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity in Frank’s memory.

Anna B. Sharpe
Anna B. Sharpe, 98, of Mineral, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013.
Survivors include her son, Russell S. Sharpe (Martha); her grandchildren, Sandy Trussell and Courtney Soto; her great-grandchildren, Jimmy, Katelyn and Adin; and her sisters, Rachel Miller and Bertha Barlow.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday March 8 in Hillcrest Cemetery, Louisa.
