The annual Mineral Volunteer Firemen’s Fair completed another year featuring good weather and a successful parade on May 3 featuring a variety of units competing for prizes.
Units from all five Goochland County fire departments participated in the parade this year, honoring Andy Brooks, who passed away last month.
Brooks started his volunteer fire service career as a junior member at Mineral and also volunteered at Manakin Company 1, sharing his love for the fire service and the apparatus with both departments as an adult.
The winners are listed below and anyone who has not picked up their trophy should contact Irene Luck at (540) 894-0663.
