Residents oppose Zion Crossroads project

A proposed mixed-use development has Spring Creek residents taking a stand, literally.

More than 40 people stood in unison to signify their opposition to a Zion Crossroads project after Spring Creek resident Vick Gregor asked how many people were against the proposed development during Monday’s supervisors meeting.

Gregor told board members he had collected more than 200 signatures from neighbors who opposed plans for a residential and commercial development known as Zion Ridges.

The project, if approved, would be located in the Zion Crossroads growth area directly across the road from the Spring Creek development’s main entrance on Route 15.

The development includes designs for the construction of approximately 112,000 square feet of commercial building space and more than 280 multi-family and multi-level rental housing units.

“The 500 taxpayers of Spring Creek are not anti-development,” said Spring Creek homeowner Bob Babyok. “They’re anti- bad development.”
