Robert Lee Kidd Sr.
Robert Lee Kidd, Sr., age 68, of Louisa, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2015, in Martha Jefferson Hospital, Charlottesville, Virginia.
Bob was born in 1947, in Washington, D.C., the son of the late William and Pauline Kidd. He worked as a salesman for Blue Green Resorts prior to his retirement in 2005. He was a veteran having served in the United States Navy. Robert was an active member of the American Legion Post #74, Disabled Veterans of America Post #33 as well as the Moose Lodge Post #1028, all of Charlottesville, Virginia. He was a loving father, grandfather, companion and friend to many. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Surviving are two sons, Robert Kidd, Jr. and wife, Sharon, and Michael Kidd, all of Winchester, Virginia; three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren, as well as a long-term companion of 25 years, Susie Altman.
Bob’s son, Ryan, and his brother, William “Bill” Kidd, preceded him in death.
The family received friends on Thursday, August 13, 2015. A Memorial service was held on Friday, August 14, 2015 at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, with Pastor Chuck Daugherty officiating.

Roderick Albert Lloyd
Roderick Albert Lloyd, 99, of Spotsylvania County, passed away Monday, August 17, 2015 at Amerisist Assisted Living.
Mr. Lloyd enrolled in the CCC Camp in the 1930’s. He had retired from the FMC plant as a shift foreman. Mr. Lloyd taught himself to play classical guitar and enjoyed playing music written by Fernando Sor, Francisco Tarrega and Johann Sebastian Bach.
He is survived by his two children, Patsy Halalilo of Hawaii, and John Lloyd of Blacksburg. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Glorena W. Lloyd; second wife, Christine B. Lloyd; his parents Robert and Elza Brooks Lloyd; and four brothers and six sisters.
A private burial will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery.
