The Louisa County Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the town of Louisa and the Louisa County Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department, will host the third annual Louisa Street Festival in downtown Louisa between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on June 8.
The free family-friendly event will offer a variety of activities, live music, food and shopping opportunities from a diverse mix of vendors.
During the event, a number of streets in the downtown area will be closed to accommodate the more than 150 businesses and organizations that will line the roadways around Courthouse Square, Woolfolk Avenue and Rosewood Avenue.
Main Street and Fredericksburg Avenue will remain open. Wagon rides will take place through the downtown area. The parking area at Frosties Rail Stop will be closed for activities.
Public parking is available at the following locations:
• Louisa County Offices on 1 Woolfolk Avenue
• Louisa County General District Court on Main St. and Meadow Avenue
• Louisa County Human Services Office and the dirt lot across McDonald Street.
• Cutler Avenue behind the businesses
• Church Avenue
• Main Street metered parking
Upon arrival, pick up a Seek and Find event map and collect stamps by visiting the various displays. Collect five stamps from each street and submit your map at the Chamber tent for the hourly prize drawings.
Grand prize drawings include a family four pack of tickets from Kings Dominion, free virus scan and removal from Harris Creek Computers, a $100 Visa card from the Manzari family and a set of custom cornhole boards from Bethel Builders.
Entertainment for the day includes:
10:00 a.m. – Touch-a-Truck Experience
11:00 a.m. – live music from Sauna Mountain Valley
12:00 p.m. – Cone with Cops at Frosties
1:30 p.m. – live music from Billy and The Backbeats
3:45 p.m. – Grand Prize drawings
