Virginia Community Bank will open a new branch in Gordonsville pending regulatory approval in mid-March.
“This is a great opportunity for us to serve the Gordonsville community. Having a location in Gordonsville compliments our other office locations perfectly,” J. Preston Moore Jr., president and CEO of Virginia Community Bank, said. “We understand the banking needs of communities like Gordonsville, and the residents understand the benefits of banking with a community bank. We are looking forward to welcoming Gordonsville residents into our branch.”
Virginia Community Bank will move into a location vacated by Bank of America several years ago. The property is currently under renovation. In the meantime, the new branch will operate from a temporary, mobile office at 104 S. Main St., Gordonsville.
“Virginia Community Bank is a perfect fit for Gordonsville. Having such a strong and committed commercial bank is crucial to the health of our business community and will be essential in the daily lives of all of our citizens,” Gordonsville Mayor Bob Coiner said. “I know everyone in the Gordonsville area is excited to welcome this bank, known for its customer service, to our community. We are looking forward to a wonderful, long-term relationship with Virginia Community Bank.”
Virginia Community Bank, with assets of $254,000,000, was founded in 1976. The bank currently operates six banking offices in Louisa, Orange and Culpeper counties and in Mineral and Fredericksburg.
