Wrapping up small details

Teamwork is the key word to wrapping hundreds of books for Santa Council, as is demonstrated by the Louisa County Middle School CATS team.

Now that December has arrived, volunteers with the Santa Council of Louisa County have taken up the activity a notch with a flurry of preparations underway.

Wrapping of packages will begin next week at First Baptist Church in the town of Louisa and volunteers are needed to help.  Call Karen Williams at (540) 967-2875 to arrange for a time.  In the meantime, community members can pick up a name from the Angel Tree at the Louisa County Public Library, shop for the child and return the wrapped gift to the library tree by Saturday, December 8.

Last week, just prior to the Thanksgiving holiday, members of the Louisa County Middle School Community Action Team (CATs) and the Louisa County High School Marching Band spent a couple of hours each wrapping several hundred books, DVDs and CDs which will be distributed as part of the program.
