Louisa Baptist Church will present its Easter drama, “The Heights of Defeat” on Thursday, April 13 and Friday April 14 at 7 p.m. Due to the graphic nature of the crucifixion portrayal, a nursery and alternative activity option will be available for children. The Church of the Incarnation (Episcopal-Lutheran) invites children of all ages at 7 p.m. to remember and experience what happened at the Last Supper. The church service will be geared toward children. The church is located at 102 Louisa Avenue, Mineral, across from the Mineral Farmers’ Market.

The youth at Macedonia United Methodist Church will present the Easter drama, “The Stations of the Cross” at 7 p.m.  with communion as part of the service.  The church is located at 17 Byrd Mill Road, Louisa.

Mechanicsville Baptist Church will hold its Maundy Thursday Tenebrae service at 7 p.m. The church is located at 10200 Louisa Road, Louisa.

Friday, April 14

Bethpage Christian Church will present its Easter program “This Time Tomorrow” on Friday, April 14 at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, April 15 at 4:00 and 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, April 16 at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. The church is located at 4491 Fredericks Hall Road, Mineral.

New Line Baptist Church will hold its Good Friday service focusing on the Seven Last Sayings of Jesus at 7 p.m. The church is located at 4876 New Line Road, Gum Spring.

Little River Baptist Church will hold a Good Friday service at 7 p.m. The church is located at 4959 Buckner Road, Bumpass.

The women’s and youth ministries of Mount Hope Baptist Church will present “You’re a Good Good Father” testimony service at 7 p.m. This is an excellent opportunity for local churches to bring their youth ministries to be blessed. The church is located at 5502 Paynes Mill Road, Bumpass.

Blue Ridge Shores Baptist Church will hold its Good Friday service at 6 p.m. The church is located at 1230 Firehouse Drive (back entrance of BRSPOA).

Louisa County Baptist Sunday School Union will present the Seven Last Expressions of Christ at 7 p.m. at the Mt. Gilliam New Site Baptist Church. Local ministers will lead in the experience of Christ’s last words on Calvary’s cross.  The church is located on 2212 Mansfield Road, Mineral.

St. Thomas Baptist Church of Bumpass and Union Baptist Church of Beaverdam will present “The Re-enactment of the Crucifixion of Our Lord Jesus, the Christ” at 7 p.m. Services will be held at Union Baptist Church, 16230 Union Church Road, Beaverdam.

A resurrection service will be held at Watchtower Baptist Church with Laurel Hill Baptist Church and Rising Sun Baptist Church at 7 a.m., followed by breakfast. Watchtower is located at 375 Pottiesville Road, Bumpass.

Little River Baptist Church will hold an Easter sunrise service at 7 a.m. A worship service will also be held at 11 a.m. The church is located at 4959 Buckner Road, Bumpass.

Blue Ridge Shores Baptist Church will hold its Easter services starting with a Son-rise service at 7 a.m., followed by a continental breakfast. The regular worship service will be held at 9 a.m.  The church is located at 1230 Firehouse Drive (back entrance of BRSPOA).

Foster Creek Baptist Church will hold its Easter sunrise service at 6 a.m. followed by breakfast that  will be cooked and served by the men of the church.  The church is located at 4028 East Jack Jouett Road, Louisa.

St. Mark Baptist Church will celebrate Easter beginning with church school at 9:30 a.m., followed by morning worship at 11:00 a.m. featuring a guest preacher and music rendered by the Mass Choir. The church is located at 4596 Factory Mill Road, Maidens.

The St. John’s Chapel, Green Springs, will hold its annual Easter sunrise service at 6 a.m. The historic chapel will be decorated for the season and lit by candles. There will be special music and hymns of the holiday. The chapel is located on E. Rt. 640 (east Jack Jouett Road) at the intersection of E. New Life Community Church will hold two Easter services, one at 9:00 and the other at 10:45 a.m. The church is located at 509 E. Main Street, Louisa.

Holly Grove Christian Church will hold an Easter sunrise service at 7:30 a.m. outside near the old rugged cross, weather permitting. A breakfast will follow in the fellowship hall.  An Easter egg hunt for the children is scheduled for 8:45 a.m. on the church lawn, in conjunction with Sunday school, followed by the worship service at 9:30 a.m. The church is located at 1637 Holly Grove Drive, Bumpass.

Dogwood Baptist Church will observe Easter with an early service at 8 a.m., followed by breakfast. Sunday School will be at 10 a.m. and there will be an 11 a.m. service with special music. The church is located at 5677 New Line Road, Gum Spring.

Macedonia United Methodist Church will hold its traditional Easter service at 7 a.m., followed by a home-cooked breakfast in the church social hall.  Bring flowers from your garden to place in the resurrection cross and a basket to collect Easter eggs for the egg hunt to be held immediately following the breakfast.  The church is located at 17 Byrd Mill Road, Louisa.

Mechanicsville Baptist Church will hold an Easter sunrise service at 6:30 a.m. Sunday school will be held at 9:45 a.m. and worship at 11 a.m. The church is located at 10200 Louisa Road, Louisa.

Philippi Christian Church will hold an Easter sunrise service at 6 a.m. The church is located at 7133 Jefferson Highway, Mineral.

Mt. Garland Baptist Church will celebrate Easter with a sunrise service at 6 a.m., followed by a full course hot breakfast. The church is located at 4000 Buckner Road, Bumpass.

Eagle Baptist Church will hold a sunrise service at 6:30 a.m., followed by breakfast. There will not be an 11 a.m. service.

Monday, April 17

Living Water Fellowship Church will celebrate the church’s 17th anniversary the week of April 17 through April 21. Services will beginning at 7:30 p.m. nightly with a guest speaker each night. The church is located at 115 Jefferson Highway, Louisa, in the Sage Building.

The Louisa County and Vicinity Ministers’ Conference will continue to celebrate the Easter season through its annual spring revival, which will be held Monday, April 17 through Wednesday April 19 at First Baptist Church. Services will begin at 7 p.m. nightly and feature a different speaker each night. The church is located at 102 Meadow Avenue, Louisa.

Saturday, April 22

St. Thomas Baptist Church will hold its annual women’s prayer breakfast at 9 a.m. The church is located at 1567 Bumpass Road, Route 601, Bumpass.

Sunday, April 23

Mt. Gilliam Baptist Church will holds its annual Family and Friends Day celebration at 3 p.m. featuring a guest pastor and choir to render the music.  Lunch will be served prior to the afternoon service. The church is located at 4641 Chalk Level Road, Louisa.

Wednesday, April 26

Wayland Baptist Church will host a couples preachment revival Wednesday, April 26 through Friday, April 28 from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. The guest speakers will consist of different pastors and their wives (couples) each night. Music will be rendered by guest choirs. The church is located at 1228 Oakland Road, Louisa.
