Sunday, Sept. 17

Holly Grove Christian Church will hold its Family Fun In The Son event on Sunday afternoons beginning Sep. 17 for four consecutive weeks ending on Oct. 8.  A  light lunch, lessons from the Bible, crafts, games and more are scheduled each Sunday afternoon following the morning worship service from 12 until 2 p.m.  Activities will be specifically planned with the children in mind, but the whole family may participate in the fun and fellowship. Cornerstone Baptist Church will celebrate Homecoming on Sunday Sept. 17. Sunday School begins at 10 a.m., worship at 11 a.m. and will be followed with a luncheon. Revival services will be held Monday, Sept. 18 through Friday, Sept. 22 at 7 p.m. nightly featuring a guest speaker. The church is located at 10564 Jefferson Hwy., Mineral.

Yanceyville Christian Church, a progressive Christian church, will celebrate its annual homecoming, “Preaching and Pies.” The day will begin with worship at 11 a.m. with a guest speaker special rendition of Bach’s “Jesu, Joy” by a violin, clarinet, and pipe organ trio. Following the morning worship, there will be a cookout and covered dish luncheon with games for the young and young at heart. The church is located at church, 594 Yanceyville Road, Louisa.

Divine Baptist Church will hold an ordination service for a deacon and deaconess of the church at 3 p.m. The church is located at 11933 Shannon Hill Rd., Louisa.

First Bible Way Church will hold revival Sunday, Sept. 17 during its 11:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. worship services. Revival will continue Monday through Thursday with services beginning at 7:30 p.m. The church is located at 785 Goldmine Rd., Louisa.

 

Wednesday, Sept. 27

Gum Spring United Methodist will hold its Wonderful Wednesday, A Community Feast followed by Mission Friends (typically the last Wednesday of the month). A family style dinner will be served from 5:30 until 7:00 p.m. During dinner, Mission Friends, an elementary-age missions group for children meets and offers a short Bible lesson and a small mission project for those in the community and beyond. The church is located at 191 Cross County Rd., Gum Spring.
