Thomas Jefferson Health District will provide free drive-through coronavirus testing at the Louisa County Health Department this Friday, May 8. People must call to schedule an appointment on Wednesday or Thursday.
The testing will occur at the Louisa County Health Department, 540 Industrial Drive, behind the Betty J. Queen Intergenerational Center.
Who can get tested: Individuals who are symptomatic (experiencing coronavirus disease symptoms like fever, cough, runny nose, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell; people aged 18 and older.
How to schedule an appointment: Call 434-972-6261, Monday to Friday. People must call to schedule an appointment from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on May 6 and May 7. No one will be tested without an appointment. Testing will be scheduled as first call, first scheduled. The health department will respond to voicemails in order they are received. Testing is limited, so people will be screened to determine if they qualify.
