Halloween is an exciting time for many, but activities like trick-or-treating can be high-risk for spreading COVID-19.
Not to fear! We have some tips for celebrating safely this year. If you choose to trick-or-treat this year, wear a mask with your costume, limit the number of neighborhoods where you trick-or-treat, and remember "six feet or no treat!"
Passing out candy can be a high-risk situation if anyone is sick, immunocompromised, or in COVID quarantine or isolation ... Place a sign on your door or mailbox that tells trick-or-treaters you're closed for boos-ness. Or place a sign that lets trick-or-treaters know that ghouls are welcome this year and you have extra safety precautions in place for handing out candy. If you choose to pass out candy, wash your hands and pre-make individual bags of candy.
