LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Green Springs hopeful knows her district

To the editor:

Friends and neighbors from the Green Springs District, join me in supporting Rachel Jones as our next representative for the Louisa County Board of Supervisors. our district is in desperate need of a leader who will listen to and communicate with all Green Springs families. Having lived in the area for over 20 years, Rachel appreciates the rich history of our area as well as the need for deliberate and planned growth.

Rachel knows our district is comprised of families who want to live a rural lifestyle on their established farms, those who want to keep a little distance between themselves and their neighbors, and those who enjoy living in a subdivision. All of these are possible in our area provided we work together and balance those competing interests. Rachel will work with all parties to ensure our area is prepared for growth instead of playing catch-up afterwards.

As the parent of Louisa County Public Schools students, Rachel is in tune with what is happening in our schools. She supports administrators, teachers and students in their ongoing quest to be the best in the area. She is active in our county’s 4-H program and supports programs that keep our youth engaged and productive. Also, as a former law enforcement officer, Rachel knows all too well the challenges our first responders face on a daily basis. Rachel will prioritize resources and support for LCPS and our emergency personnel.

Louisa County is Rachel’s community and has been for quite some time. She knows her neighbors and we know she will represent all of us when elected as the next representative for Green Springs.
