To the Editor,
In the April 18 issue of The Central Virginian, I was glad to see unpaved roads will get paved.
I have been living at Olde House Farm subdivision for 45 years. Back then, to buy land in Louisa County, it had to be five acres or more. We were put on a 10-year plan and nothing has been done.
We have been told it would cost too much and there wasn’t any promise. Everyone in here pays real estate and personal property taxes just like everyone else on a hard-surface road.
Just over the road from here, a new development isn’t very old and they have a paved road.
What’s up with us? We fight dust, mud and pot holes every day, and no one has money or some just won’t pay to help keep the road in shape?
