To the Editor:

The company you keep says a lot about a person. In the race for the Jackson District Board of Supervisors seat, Toni Williams is endorsed this week by several prominent current and former representatives of Louisa County: State Sen. Mark Peake, Sen. Bryce Reeves, former U.S. Rep. Tom Garrett and former Rep. Dave Brat.

Peake and Reeves, who currently represent Louisa, are frequently rated among the most conservative members of the Virginia Senate. Tom Garrett built an amazing reputation as Louisa’s top prosecutor before getting elected to the Virginia Senate and later the U.S. House of Representatives. Garrett along with Dave Brat were prominent anti-establishment, limited-government Republicans who led the fight to shrink the federal government and return more authority to the states and localities.

Therefore it is telling that these men would trust Toni Williams and his track record of success to continue to lead the Louisa County Board of Supervisors. Toni has shown that he will keep taxes low, cut wasteful spending, and lead Louisa with a strong vision for the future of our rural county.
