To the Editor:
Tina Ramirez was an early entry into the Republican primary race to reclaim the Congressional seat currently occupied by Democrat Abigail Spanberger.
The differences between these two candidates could not be greater, notably on the abortion issue. Spanberger’s rating by Votesmart.org is one hundred percent from the obvious donation from Emily’s List and more from out-of-state Planned Parenthood groups in New York and Washington, D.C. Ramirez is pro-life.
Ramirez, a teacher, has traveled to more than 30 countries teaching history and developing policies to improve religious freedoms for the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom and as a policy advisor to the bipartisan Congressional International Religious Freedom Caucus.
As someone who has spent her life traveling the world fighting for human rights and religious freedoms, Ramirez has seen first-hand the effects of totalitarian government and has made it a personal mission to steer our country away from socialism.
Ramirez is a Chesterfield resident and a pro-life Christian mother who stands for: human rights; family values; limited government; immigration reform and securing our border; and affordable health care. She has six Republican opponents in the primary race for the 7th Congressional District.
